CFAD HOLDS FACULTY SEMINAR-WRITESHOP ON OUTCOMES-BASED EDUCATION (OBE)
The UST-College of Fine Arts and Design held a seminar-writeshop on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) facilitated by Prof. Allan B. de Guzman, Ph.D., 2011 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Teacher.
The objective of the 2-day writeshop is to prepare faculty members in restructuring CFAD's course syllabus following the Outcomes-Based Teaching Learning (OBTL) Approach. On the first day of the writeshop, Dr. De Guzman presented an overview of OBE and facilitated the two major phases of the seminar-writeshop - Renewing the Existing Programs of Studies and Restructuring the Existing Course Design.
Faculty members were grouped according to the courses handled as roundtable discussions filled the second day for departmental rethinking and revising of the different course syllabus.
The seminar was formally closed by Assoc. Prof. Cynthia B. Loza, Dean of the College of Fine Arts and Design, with the hope that the activity empowered the CFAD faculty members to author course syllabi that will be used by the College for AY 2013-2014.
